Rafaela honden

Rafaela has over 30 years’ experience in the circus, theatre, festivals and more. She was born and raised in the circus. Her father was a trapeze artist with the Dutch circus Toni Boltini and the Herman Renz circus. Rafaela specialised in animal acts. Initially, she had a marvellous small animal act and a joyful freedom training act with 4 donkeys. At the same time, she has been working for 16 years with her magnificent, colourful, winged parrots. In 2005, she launched a comedy dinner show with her horse and dog. In 2011, she fantasised about a predator act, but as this is very difficult at the moment, she decided to put together a dog act with 9 white shepherds who look like articulated wolves. She trained them for a predator act, with great success. In 2017, she won the ‘Best Circus Act 2017’ award in Denmark with this act.

White shepherds

From the moment Rafaela introduces her nine magnificent white shepherds, the audience feels the beauty, grace and power of nature. The sheepdogs build pyramids, jump, sit, roll as if they were trained lions, listening perfectly to Rafaela’s instructions in a combined action between woman and animal.

Comical horse

Lennox and Dasha. The comic horse with his friend the dog Dasha. Our handyman Lennox has his demands and doesn’t want to work until he’s eaten. He sits at the table like a person and gets served as he pleases. It makes you wonder who’s acting and who’s acting.

Parrots

Rafaela and her colourful friends perform a circus-style parrot act. Now it’s been revisited and accompanied by fun music. The parrots entertain the audience with their various tricks.
